Congress needs change more than ever.
Bob Feuer for U.S. Rep
"By the end of May 2007, in this 1st Congressional District, Amherst and nineteen towns had by super-majorities voted on and resolved for impeachment. On 5 July 2007, our U.S. Rep., John Olver, acknowledged full awareness of this overwhelming majority of his constituents resolved for impeachment. He asked our forbearance until September to allow the Speaker's brilliant agenda to bring war to an end. Further, he warned of an impending U.S. air attack on Iran, the President's declaration of a National Emergency, the institution of Martial Law, and the suspension of the 2008 elections.

"On 6 November 2007, John Olver along with the other nine Massachusetts U.S. Reps voted to table H. Res. 799, which called for the impeachment of Richard B. Cheney.Ê On 23 October, these ten Massachusetts U.S. Reps had voted for passage of the Thoughts Crimes Bill".

Energy
Peak oil?

Buried in your municipal dump are megawatts of electricity.

Can this company

really turn power plant emissions into baking soda? I wonder if I could do that with my furnace? I go through quite a bit of baking soda for cleaning and litter box deordorizing. What else could I do with the stuff?

Algae fuel

In Worcester, this proven idea could be used to heat municipal buildings.

Food & Water
Get your local veggies and meats here:

SPIN, bringing food production to cities everywhere. How else can we expect to keep from going hungry as the cropland water table dries up and the cost of shipping sharply climbs?

Einstein calculated that if we lose honey bees, humans have only four years to live. Guess what? We are losing the bees.
{Update: its not happening to organic bees. Only commercial, migrant bees get CCD}

Apply these methods, and we won't have to pay for a chemical water treatment plant that will triple our water bill.

If not for slave labor, our food imports would not be able to cost so little and local food would have a fair market.

We have learned little from the cataclysms of September 11 and Hurricane Katrina. When it comes to catastrophe, America is living on borrowed timeÑand squandering it. A new book on the vulnerability of our supply lines. We need local essentials. And we need them ASAP.

Running out of water in the cropland. We better get production up locally before food becomes scarce.

Is that a good thing?

When Will We Learn?
by Erik Blaire
Have you heard about Expanded Learning Time? It is a pilot program launched last year at ten Masschusetts schools including one elementary school in Worcester.

Webster has received initial approval for a grant to enter the program that aims to add two hours to the school day because students are not achieving goals set by MCAS testing (Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System).

Education officials claim “everyone” is behind the new school day plan. Yet, teachers and parents have told me they have concerns about too much school. Read more . . .

Dear Editor
President Bush challenged critics of his surge plan to offer an alternative with a better chance for success. I have such an idea. I call it impeachment.

Bush and Cheney must be impeached immediately on the basis of lying to start this Iraq debacle in the first place.Ê Recall the Downing Street Memos and the declassified September 2006 Senate Intelligence Committee report.Ê Each of them proves that this administration lied to launch a war.Ê Sounds like a high crime to me.ÊÊ

Impeachment is necessary because it affirms the strength of the Constitution, a guide we sorely need to restore, and it might regain our credibility.Ê Without the world's trust, we have no chance for success, no matter how much we surge.

If we demand our legislators work to impeach this administration, we stand a chance.Ê There is no accountability without consequences.Ê Impeach.

The cover up is falling apart.
